Za-Pas MIG-MAG Firestarter Rod 9,5x72mm Hardened Flint

A few  facts - this is probably the biggest fire starter producing in Europe at the moment. Why?

Because:

Size matters (Check it against competing products) - 9.5x80mm - The thickest and longest rod available on the market! It allows you to strike sparks with a larger surface area of any object. The rod has a working length of 72mm when inserted into the handle.

Compared to an 8mm rod, a 9.5mm rod is 40% more material for striking!

The temperature of the sparks reaches 3000 degrees - the rods are divided into two groups - weakly sparking and those sparking strongly. At this auction you will find a better product, but pay attention to the price, flints of the same size, but reaching a spark temperature of +-1800 degrees, can be cheaper and much worse (sparks will fly less often and lose temperature faster) :)

A flint - a rarity of this product - while expensive flints have flints made of sheet metal from which peelers are made, for 2 PLN, hardened to approx. 45 HRC (I think everyone had one at home). Our flint is made of stainless steel hardened to 56-58 HRC and it has one but TWO rolled edges used for flint.

Why MIG-MAG? It's simple, this rod in cooperation with flint, throws sparks like crazy. When coming up with the name, this was the first thing that came to mind :D
